Chapter Background

  

The University of Northwestern Ohio, AMA Chapter originated in the Fall of 2013. We are an upcoming chapter, which strives to be a competitive force among the top chapters in the world. Over the past couple years, the chapter has experienced a steady increase in annual membership, top #1 small chapter in the world award, overall participation within and outside the chapter, campus-wide awareness of AMA, and growth and connections within our community. Our AMA Executive Board is comprised of eight positions and three advisors. The executive board oversees the chapter’s operations, committee coordinators, general members, strategic planning and development, and the overall implementation of our goals.

Our Mission

 The University of northwestern Ohio AMA provides a professional business organization for all majors on the UNOH campus. The mission of our  organization is to provide professional growth for our members through chapter activities, competitions, corporate visits, speaker, community events, and interaction with other chapters in the region and country. Our members will be given the opportunity to grow and network as they receive the tools for success after graduation.

2016 - 2017

· Earned "The Top Small Chapter of the Year" Award (1st Place in Category) - 39th Annual AMA International Collegiate Conference ·

· UNOH AMA Presented on "How to Become a Top Small Chapter" - 39th Annual AMA International Collegiate Conference ·

· UNOH AMA showcased its first-ever Chapter Exhibit, themed "Power in Connections" at the 39th Annual AMA Collegiate Conference ·

· Host first annual regional conference. UNOH took 2nd in social media, 2nd in marketing strategy, and 1st and 3rd in the perfect pitch competition ·

2017 – 2018

· Outstanding Community & Social Impact and Internal/External Communications - 40th Annual AMA International Collegiate Conference ·
